IAC colours were fantastic on PV202, MT818/G-AIDN at Biggin would look fabulous in her old yellow colours.

Here's the artwork we've applied to the port side of PL983. She's on static display at Cosford this weekend and flew down there with PT462 acting as crew ferry this afternoon.

I like the blue/white civilian scheme on G-AIDN, albeit her current scheme is accurate

    Duxford Friday 8th June:

Nellie was squeezed into Airspace for an event tomorrow. She is due to leave for Cosford on Sunday morning:

HFL's Buchon, recently back from New Zealand, flew today, still in its 'Dunkirk' film scheme. Sister-ship 'Yellow 7' (G-AWHM) arrived from Sywell and also entered Airspace.

    Three off to Cosford:

    Two Hurricanes undressed:

Berlin Express has a new hood:

Spitfire Mk.26 G-CJWW made her first flight this afternoon. In the markings of Pierre Clostermann's MH526 of 602Sqn.

Funnily enough, I just finished a model Spitfire today whose kit options included the Clostermann scheme.

Think the BBMF should do that one on MK356 next!

    Duxford Saturday 9th June:

On another murky day, it was great to see Nellie and Yellow 7 nicely lit up:

Among other Cosford departures was HAC Spitfire BM597, on its first outing this year:

Hurricane Heritage the owner of R4118 replied to a tweet saying that she is about 4 weeks away from flight now! Hopefully meaning she can be at FL in 5 weeks

Good to see plenty of ‘Nellie’ lately, she was moved into Airspace for an event to celebrate Lakenheaths 492nd FS winning the Raytheon Trophy.

    Duxford Sunday 10th June:

Nellie and Yellow 7 were outside early this morning, after last night's party. The P-47 promptly left for Cosford, but luckily the Buchon waited for the evening sunshine before departing to Sywell:

By close of play, only the HAC Fury and the Blenheim had returned from Cosford:

    Ariadne dropped in:

    Also flying today:

    Hi All,
Ditto what SADSACK said, only to add that without you snappers the aviation fans who are housebound and unable to attend air shows are eternally
grateful we all owe you a debt of gratitude many thanks all..........

Berlin Express has been removed from the legends lineup.

    https://www.flyinglegends.com/aircraft.html

Presumably it will not be flying but will still be present [fingers crossed] ?

Oh dear, problems during the air test yesterday perhaps? It is a bit sad that an airframe that flew over specially for this purpose, now has to sit out a second Legends show...

    Duxford - Friday 15th June

Numerous warbird flights today at Duxford with at least 6 different Spitfires taking to the sky , some making several flights. Also the P.47 returned from Sywell.
Some pictures of the action below the highlight being the 3 ship formation.

A few of mine - some taken at lunchtime and the rest near to closing time. Thought I'd rather spend an hour or so relaxing after finishing work than sat in the traffic jams that seemed to be in every direction from Duxford...
Turned out to be a good choice!
