    Ok seriously now
Still no news what the plans are for Halifax forward fusealage PN323?
It has been sitting gutted since it was transported from Lambeth.
    Anyone?

Apart from the CoG issues just imagine what might happen opening up the throttle on takeoff! I've a Wacky Races-style vision of a sound of splintering wood, the DH9 staying stock still while the disembodied Centaurus tears off down the runway all on its own

    Drag em out...

Grabbed an opportunity to get some snaps as they pulled NH341 and TD314 out to release KH774...

I appreciate that this isn't specially the TFC thread but similarly to the question by Elmdon Boy regarding their Beaufighter, what is the status of the Hawker Sea Fury FB11, VX653?

I remember first seeing '653 in 1996 and have been waiting patiently ever since, for her to fly again!

    Thanks
    Tony

    Duxford Saturday 14th April:

Sunshine at last, and 67 GA visitors for the Safety Day Fly-In. Nothing 'historic', but a splendid RV-8 posing as a 56 Sqn Phantom:

Back to the gloom and winter coats at Duxford today - Sunday. Sharkey did finally get airborne early afternoon for a nice practice display.

Here, here, Tony C, what is happening with VX653? Not to mention a certain late mark Spitfire....

I wonder if G-SHWN is possibly in the process of getting a more 'stock' P-51 cockpit?

I notice from the above pictures, the main panel is now black, and the Garmin glass cockpit unit that had been fitted in the center is no longer there.

    Lovely pics as usual!

    Cheers

    Duxford Monday 1th April:

TFC's Gladiator returned home early this morning after a prolonged stay in France:

Two visiting Spitfires today, ML407 from Sywell and TE184 from Biggin Hill. That made 24 Spitfires on the ground at Duxford (!)

TE184 is a bit of a rare bird in the UK, she's normally migrated to Europe for the summer by now!

Edit - She also has clipped wings this year
