I like the photo of the P-51 taking off.

    Duxford Sunday 10th September:

Several of Duxford's resident warbirds returned home today. Hurricane P2902 and Spitfire 'MV268' were joined by Air Leasing's Seafire III, all flown in from Sywell.

    Duxford Tuesday 12th September:

There was plenty of fighter activity today, with the TFC P-40C and Spitfire IA AR213/P7308 returning from Goodwood. They joined the Wildcat, Bearcat and Spitfire V on the grass, while Spitfire PV202 and Buchon G-AWHK from ARC flew practice displays. Hurricane G-ROBT / P2902 was also training (they all managed to evade the sunshine!)
The Blenheim also returned (late) from a prize-winning appearance at Goodwood last weekend. Many congratulations to all involved for the Freddie March Spirit of Aviation award.

The Blenheim did indeed return late. And very thought provoking to hear those two Bristol Mercurys across an increasingly darkening sky - a night fighter setting out in search of its prey!

I was at the Southport airshow on Sunday. The Mig 15 is very nippy!. The Spitfire and Buchon did a lovely display in the clear Blue skies that the event was blessed with too.

I'd love to see a tail chase of these two - even at altitude, just to give an idea of what the air battles of Korea would of looked and sounded like Name: IMG_4872.JPG

This close to an air show I wasn't expecting it to be busy, and it wasn't. PV202 was passenger flying, TFC's Hawk 75 went up for a handling flight and some aerobatics and the Wildcat was also due to fly as was the HAC Hurricane. Amongst the GA visitors was some oldies but goldies like a very pretty 1942 Stinson V77 Gullwing/NC50238, a 1948 Aeronca 15AC/G-AREX and a bit more up to date 1959 Focke Wulf (Piaggio) P-149D/D-EARY. In the order taken.

Anyone know what happened to Miss Helen? Someone said she collided with a bird, another said Shark Mouth chopped something off with her prop?
