This is my frankenshop prototype

F35 is the basis, all other features are added or transformed to be similar to the others.

It may be possible to create a hybrid Rafale-JSF considering the J-20 body is so similar to the Rafale. I like the idea of grafting Super Hornet diamond-intakes onto the lower section of a Rafale, then stitching the J-20 lower-fuselage face on it with the JSF or PAKFA upper-fuselage. Not sure what tail would look French enough, but the F-117A tail might look appropriate. The Su-47 forward swept wings might even be appropriate. I'd have to keep it exotic.

Until then how about a *******ized Rafale using Super Hornet parts?

Sepecat mates the Jaguar engines to the Mirage 2000 nose and F1 wings. {Shown with Jaguar GR3 overwing rails.)

And a new stab at the X-29 as a fighter with twin tails.

Edit: Added alternatives to the Sepecat F1. Both using F1 cockpit and Mirage F1 single-engine layouts.

I personally like the first option best.

I wanted to explore various stealth shapes. This is the combination of YF-23, F-22, F-35, and T-50. I don't think it would have room for four large bays like that, but it was a thought of how to avoid the big bay of the F-22.

I also added a warmed over FB-111 for the UK. It would need a delta wing to fit in on their bases.

The Victor bomber always intrigued me. I just didn't like the no neck look. So I opted for extensions in the neck and tail, gave it more modern canoe system in the wing, and a heavier tail from a BAe 146.

I always felt the Tornado 2000 proposal was a bit of a Frankenplane, after all slabbing a stealthy nose and intakes onto the rest of the plane was a monstrous proposal given the job it was supposed to undertake....

You couldn't fashion a Vulcan 2000 along the same lines could you?

I have some plans for different Vulcans. One is going to be a high speed one, another a stealthy one, and one like a stingray. I've got aspirations for the Nimrod and Comet, too.

Pictured here is the modernized Vulcan and the Typhoon with stacked engines rather than tandem. Because it gained so much vertical height I had to go with a whole new nose, this one from the German Tornado ECR. And because it looked rather silly so tall I added a set of elevators. I have to admit it looks rather sexy this way.

The third picture is of a mash consisting of Blackjack, Backfire, and Fencer bombers. I call it "The Backfence Bomber".

How about an Avon-powered Hawker Siddeley Etendard? Shown here next to the Dassault version.

3. MiG-29 and Su-27 with intakes on the side instead of under the fuesalage

Third is the F-117 using more Blackbird-like shaping. I know it is impossible to see, but I went to the trouble of using dark upside-down Rafale intakes on the SR-117.

I liked doing the first Saab'd Flogger that I did a more frontal view that is fairly close to the first.

I swapped to a single tail because it wouldn't have been a Flogger-like design unless I either went some sort of twin-engine design or rear strakes to mount twins on.

No drama

Have subsequently spoken to someone with more aerodynamic knowledge than me (I.e. some aerodynamic knowledge!) who said that the vixens issue wasn't lack of power and putting bigger motors in would just repeat scimitar (famously the most powerful aircraft never to break the sound barrier)

A lot of the difficulty is finding matching angles. A good majority of older pictures are grainy and offer little chance to manipulate even to my low standards.
