Thanks! I have this small photo of Mi-24V, maybe there were more aircraft types with this variant.

Gerard, do you believe that the Luxembourg Army Super Cub in the attached image is overall doped aluminum, or yellow?

I don't know the date of the picture, but in the eighties LX-FAA wores a two tones camouflage (dark brown and green kakhi/dark green).

A little under exposed picture, but that's it.
Same patern as LX-FAB et LX-FAC (on note, the modification of the tail flag and the rearward/forward looking of the roundels Lion) :

    From Facebook:
have found something interesting. A Ukrainian "chevron" air force markings from 1992. So far I only found a single drawing with note in Insignia Magazine and decals for scle models. I wonder if there more story about those markings, for example why were created/rejected and i'm looking for photos.
Never seen or heard of. anyone here??

    Notes:
The exact colours are at present unknown, and it is believed that they were either brown or grey, or a combination of both. The floaters’ colours also seem to have varied. Hence why I’ve posted two versions.
A curious oddity with this particular photo is that the national marking on the wing’s undersurface seems to have its colours reversed. It should be a red cross against a white background but, imo, it is a white or light-colour cross against a dark background. If anyone has an explanation for this, I would love to learn about it

Early Oman AF roundel and fin flash.

AFAIK, the only other aircraft using the old fin flash were Hunting Provosts, although with the "standard" roundel on the wings.

Taiwan Albatros. At first glance it looks like the roundel is missing his blue circle but it is still there.

F-5E number 50606 (75-00606) is wearing the national flag of Egypt with the eagle. None were delivered and all were subsequently sold to Yemen when Egypt was authorised to be equiped with F-4E until the arrival of the F-16.

Anybody know if the fuselage and wing roundels on this Iranian P-3 are legitimate, or are they bogus? I suspect they may be the result of a bit of "creative license" on the part of the image artist.

In this Orion model they are Bogus for sure,

But the Iranian National Emblem (sort of Tulip lookalike) is often seen on wings in opposite position to the IRIAF roundel in Tomcats, for example:

the tulip lookalike on the Iranian flag.

I must admit that I never have seen that on the wings.

But after a little search in my archives I found this:

Note the two versions of the Dominican Republic roundel. The standard one is asymmetrical, but the second is symmetrical and non-standard. I have seen it on a number of profiles in addition to these including P-51s, but no photos. Does anybody know if it is legitimate?

Another colourisation from a National Library of New Zealand photo, this time featuring RNZAF Lockheed Hudson IIIa NZ2063 in Fiji in 1948 wearing the International Search And Rescue colours.

About the old roundel in use on Dominican Mustangs:

According to the following article, the first five machines wore the Old Dominican Republic roundel...
