Come now, is no-one going to have a stab at this?
A few guesses might fish out some clues.

Yup, thought someone ought to net that one sooner or later.

Was it the picture or the clue

Both, I just happened to have been going through my Yeovilton air show pics at the same time - though the clue clinched it!

Give me some time to try and come up with another Wot Plane.

68 hours on from confirmation of the identity of the last 'wot plane' and nothing new having been posted by pagen01, 'open house' now prevails. So continuing the 'guess the sum from one of its parts' approach, try this.

And you would be, Laurence, perfectly correct. Here's the whole of MS.317 F-BCBC

So you have control, once again.

I quite like this new slant on wotplane. As long as the bits are not too small.
    My offering:

Correct. The winner has declared open house. 203 Squadron, Benghazi, 1943

I agree, Laurence. I rather like it too. It enables me to use cropped versions of my own photos - which if used in full would be too easy - rather than trawling through books and the net for ever more obscure aeroplanes. In fact I like it so much that I'll seize this 'open house' to play again. So here's the next. If you know what you're looking for, identifying the designer should not be too difficult. The model may tax you a little more. So bonne chance!
