    Hi The only documentation that I have is AP 2534B Vol 1 Ch 5 dated 1948. Attached is a dated RAF memo which mentions the control unit in June 1944. The SBA system was used in many bombers - not sure about fighters but as the Pilot would have controlled the unit you have it might be best to look at cockpit pics of aircraft of interest. Cheers ...

    Hi The first one is a Standard Beam Approach control unit - see attached. Looks like they have used the fully variable Seafire tuner dial to replace the clunky switch based Bowden cable of the original control box. Hmmm, what an accurate drawing, even the fixing bolts are dangling out the same way that yours are! Cheers James...
