    Many thanks!!!
  2. Hi Dave

My Oxford project has moved on, but was in so many pieces it was barely recognisable - the other two projects on the go in the UK at the moment I know for a fact to be in the same condition.

There are only two complete Oxfords in the country - one hangs from the roof at Duxford, but the other one is on display on the ground at the RAF Museum at Hendon. They are usually very receptive to requests from veterans, and I would think would arrange special access for a close inspection. I have to say I think actually getting inside is unlikely - they're not a great environment for someone in their nineties to move around in and are spectacularly small inside. The museum will consider the safety of your veteran friend and the safety of the aircraft and I can't see a seat inside being approved - though I could be wrong. Contact details are:

    london@rafmuseum.org

Good luck - I hope you can get your man up close to an Oxford again.

    Bob

Hi, hoping you can help me! I have an 95 year old man who used to fly Oxford Airspeed in Canada to train aircrew in WW2. I wanted to ask if you still owned and Airspeed and whether you accept visitors for a look and sit in? Thanks for your time. We’re from Bristol. Dave
