Hi Modellers
I have recently finished my R/C model of a PACV (Patrol Air Cushion Vehicle)
it has been put in this category as it does not touch the ground also the "Driver" is called a PILOT. It is nearer to a aircraft than a boat!
It is 1/24th scale and is bisically a Short SRN5 hovercraft which was adapted by the US Forces for use in Vietnam. It is 3 channel radio and electric driven.
It has been tested on a large flat area and goes very well, my next step is to put it in my Model Boat Clubs "Pond" to see how it performs on the " liquid stuff"
.
If anyone else has built such a craft I would be pleased to hear from them. It was built from a kit made by Hovercraftmodels.com and bought direct from
the USA
