Does anyone here build models for any of the flight sims? I got fed up of breaking my plastic kits and am learning 3d software. Anyone else going down this road?

Best wishes

I built plastic many years ago, dabbled with balsa and paper a bit, Now, I don't get my hands covered with paint, glue, cuts.....digital is my toy today.

The 3-d package I use, Softimage 3-D is not compatible with any of the sims as far as I know, I just do illustrations. Here is a little one I just did, not quite done with the A/C, just slapped it into a revetment, a little Photoshop time and there it is.
I had been working on the Glad for some time and just stumbled across the Malta Movie, those guys know their stuff. A few things I would want to mess with myself, but they got a LOT done very well!

I, as part of my university degree...BEng (Hons) Aerospace technology was part of a group developing a glider.

Unfortunately for some bizzare reason the uni decided that they should launch from what was practically speaking, a slingshot. Sadly the models did nothing but stall upon launch!

Many a weird and wonderful "model" built purely from theoretical design and aerodynamic theory:

Our design, the ultimate winner...just!

Some of the brilliant failures:
