So:
The VLS on DDG1000 (Mk57?) is bigger than the Mk41
The Mk41 can quadpack ESSM
Physically could more than 4 ESSM be packed into a single Mk57 silo (I know that they aren't, but could they?)
Is there another reason not to fit more than 4? (I'm thinking of exhausting those hot gasses, but I'm open to other problems)
Could CAAMM (with cold launch and smaller external dimensions) be fitted in greater numbers?
The AGS on DDG1000 seems to be just so much dead weight now.
Is it feasible to remove them and put a big farm of Mk41s on the centre line?
(Understood that it will be expensive and time-consuming, but is it feasible?)
