Interesting that in all the published photos, so far, 'Red 11' Vasiliy Senko has a raised circular antenna (satcom?) on the top fuselage just aft of a line above the rear nosewheel door.

'Red 07' - Aleksandr Molodchiy has it in the long-distance shots, but not in others.

            Maybe it is retractable ???

It was 'raised' on Vasiliy Senko when I photographed it at MAKS 07......

....but not on Ivan Yarigin in 2005......

If you want to look at some of the FACTS, U.S. AND Russia have shot down numerous fighters, bombers each, it was published in an 06 issue of "AirForce Monthly", or maybe it was "AirCombat" Magazine, I can't remember but I can assure you the U.S. was not, nor can push Russia around like they portray in the News/Hollywood Movies, you may find that hard to believe, but it's true.

There is no reason to base SRBM/IRBM in the America’s, when you have true intercontinental-range strategic bombers, like that of the Tu-160!
The Strategic bomber can come and go – brilliant!!

Is Venezuela to be the new Cuba for Russia, in its bid to hold on to its title and dreams of once being a superpower? (I hope not for the Venezuelans sake!!)
Hell I hope that Chavez, does not put all his eggs and trust in being a want-to-be allies of Russia!

1.Economically Russia is NOT a "superpower" Militaraly it is, and when it comes to "stratigicaly" it is the #1 Militarially stratigic power in the world.

                  2. You forgot to mention the part about the "C.M.C." (Cuban Missile Crissis)
that the USSR made U.S. agree to pull out their Nukes from Turkey and Italy before agreeing to pull USSR Nukes from "Cuba" but ofcourse when it come to Russia, it's not important to talk about the whole truth and nothing but the whole truth as long as U.S.A. get's to look like the tough guy telling Russia what to do.

I think the "raised" version simply has a "remove before flight" cover on it. It's probably always there, but the protective cover (only installed when the aircraft is expected to be on the ground for some time) makes a big difference in visibility.

I took the following close-up shot of the thing at MAKS 2007:

What baffles me is the lack of Venezuelan Propaganda/PR on the deployment. I expected high-rez pictures of them flying next to Venezuelan Flankers and a well covered visit of Chvez to the air bases

What ever your so called excuse is, I have always noticed any nation that defies the illegal/immorall polacies of the U.S. is called Stupid/Dummy, and you ain't no different from all the others, no matter how much you "TRY" and sound different, with any of your explanations of why you called him that.

It is Americans who are the STUPID ones who don't even know their laws are broked by those who they THINK they elected for the gain of economic wealth, descised as spreding "Democracy" (The U.S. isn't even a Democracy, it's a Constitutional Republic") or War On Terror.

Yes "Democracy" is basically the rule by majority (Not majority of what the citesens want, but what the "Elected Officials want") so scince the form of Government that N.K. has is "Communist" or "Socialist" (if you prefer)
It's a Democratic form of Government, based upon Communisim/Socialism.
