Thanks so much Flex! Photos of single-seat agressors seem to be extremely rare, but they definately look much better than the DJ's.

            F-15J/DJ JASDF Aggressors

You asked for it and you got it! With all the various JASDF aggressor schemes out there, it would be virtually impossible to represent all of them in decal form. This sheet solves that problem!

Enough markings are provided on this sheet for ANY of the various F-15J as well as DJ aggressor schemes that have flown with the JASDF. Using your references and this decal sheet, you can duplicate any of these wild schemes! Enough markings for one complete jet!"

Just got the 2007 December issue of AFM.
WRT the F-15s on page 80, the motifs on the tail fins IMO look more like a warrior posing with two swords, not one sword. At least I don't think Jap warriors usually fight with sword in one hand, and scabbard in other hand. Jap scabbards aren't for parrying.
The Nitouryuu ("Two Swords") style of fighting with two swords is most associated with the legendary Miyamoto Musashi, but I don't know whether he has any relation to the five-kanji slogan on the F-15 noses?

Found a new photo of my favourite JASDF Eagle:

                      http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1294991/L/

Gorgeous! The F-15, being a very pretty fighter anyway, looks decent in gray but with something like 95% of all Eagles wearing that colour in the past it sure is nice to see more colourful patterns. Particularly on single seaters (sorry F-15I, but the single seaters do look nicer ). Aggressors (Japanese and increasingly USAF) FTW

Now all we need is a F-15J in that F-2-style two-tone dark blue camo, that would so make my day (there's a USAF aggressor scheme that is similar, but the blues are not quite as dark).

Looking for Hi-res pics of F15 scheme

                          Hey there.....

Am new to this forum and hoping to get some help finding hi-resolution pics of the 50th Anniversary F15 scheme shown here. I'd like to have a trailer wrap made of this scheme and this lo-res version would be kind of blurry up close.

Oh, am into turbine RC planes and will be getting this twin turbine version in January 2009!

Thx to all in advance for any and all help given.

                              Welcome aboard........

Came from Obama town, Chicago, and moved out here a dozen years ago to get some additional room and fresh air.

Am getting into turbine jets in a much bigger way thanks to a buddy of mine in Pennsylvannia, Bill Jameson. He's the man when it comes to turbines.

Hope to follow lots of posts here.......was especially moved by the thread about "digging up" old bones of aircraft. What a waste to have scrapped all that history.

                                  Great pics!

But why do the Japs use so manny different cammo themes? Those Eagles almost make a Russian infantery sqad look uniform in comparasion! Seriousely? Are they intended for different roles? (Grey and bleue ones for high altitude air defence and the green/brown/red ones for low level strike strike etc).

                                    A partial listing includes:

                                    Byron's 4 blade P-51D Mustang(1/5th scale)...85" wingspan

                                    Hemple 540 (1/2 scale)...... 146" wingspan

FlyEagles F15 (1/7th scale).... 107" length [coming in Jan. 09]

FlyEagles F16 (1/6th scale).... 106" length [coming in Jan. 09]

                                    Hangar 9 Ultimate 46%...... 95" wingspan

Custom B-17 fuse and wood for an 18 foot wingspan build....currently hanging in the garage. Came from the molds used to make planes in UK for the movie "Memphis Belle". If I'm not mistaken Dave Johnson and his son fly it's mates on a regular basis over there.

Right now trying to clear the second bay (summertime hangar) of planes to be able to park the cars inside for the winter.....got down to 5 deg F (-15 deg C).

] the 50th Anniversary F15 scheme shown here.

That blue bird looks like F-15J #841 or 42-8841 of 304th Hikoutai, 8th Koukuudan, based at Tsuiki AB, Fukuoka Prefecture.
Hasegawa apparently has a 1:72 model kit of it, with decals.
