Still more questions than answers as the TFX was suppose to be a Lo in a High/Lo Mix with the F-35. Just like the KF-X is.....Also, still considerable confusion in regards to the class of engine it is suppose to use??? As it's either in the F414/EJ200 or F100/F110 class but can't be both. Early reports said the former. While, the most recent reports said the F110 was going to be used for early prototypes....

"Still more questions than answers as the TFX was suppose to be a Lo in a High/Lo Mix with the F-35. "

"Suposed" by whom? Not by the Turkish MOD or TAI.
TFX was always presented has the main air defense element of the Trk Hava Kuvvetleri, the F-35 being the fighter bomber. Thats the official plan, if its realistic, thats an altogether diferent question (to me, between the objectives, the time frame, the budget and the sheer size of the "thing", it seems an entirely "pie in the sky" project).

The latest official designs are the size of an F-15 Eagle...

Impressive. That will also constitute an important opportunity for the Turkish industry with their system exposed to one of the most stringent EM threat.

            Did you read this topic?!
Bayar has been linking an awfull lot of data and official presentations directly from TAI and the Turkish MOD, there are at least three diferent posts from him in the last three pages describing the latest TFX configuration.

Royal Air Force chief visits Turkish Aerospace to discuss UK participation (Royal Airforce) in the TF-X program. The Royal Air Force may procure/co-produce the TF-X prior to integrating the TEMPEST.

Right after Ouagoudou is buried under a snowstorm and North Korea becomes a full partner in the JSF program.
No need, no budget and absolutely not in any publicly disclosed plan by the UK MOD, or the RAF.

                  Sintra Never say never...

The UK is about to have a very bumpy Brexit which would leave European Aerospace companies alienated from the British market.

The TF-X is being designed together with British Defence giants such as BAE Systems and Rolls-Royce PLC. BAE officials have been speaking with Royal Air Force officers about the capabilities of the TF-X. The TF-X is currently the only mature clean-sheet 5th Gen. European fighter program.

BAE systems can easily produce the TF-X with British sub-systems in the UK for the Royal Air Force. The Air Superiority fighter would complement British F-35's. It would also cost British tax payers a fraction of the cost of procuring alternative platforms since Turkey is the primary risk sharing partner who is funding the development effort in its entirety.

Do you really have to mix actual facts with wild speculation and wishful thinking like that? Nobody here has a problem with you uploading official stuff, just stop with the baseless fan-fiction.

Sintra - Given that the aircraft is at the beginning of the design phase, it's pretty unlikely that any MoD plan would forecast that far ahead.
