How about a thread on any kind of aviation activity (air force and industry) that is occuring in Belarus.I have heard there exists a MiG-29 upgrade.. perhaps some one else can add more input to developments in the country.

According to the estimations of specialists in the region of armaments, the level of the Belorussian modernization of aircraft MiG-29 does not be inferior the ideology of the modernization of Russian SMT and it will be of definite interest for the foreign customers. /.../On 2 October during finalizing of the practical measures of the second stage of study on 227th military range the c-in-c of the armed forces of republic Belarus' and president Aleksandr Grigor'evich Lukashenko were demonstrated the combat capabilities of the modernized aircraft Su-27UBM1 and helicopter Mi-8MTKO1 under the nighttime conditions.
