            Thank you
Do you have any information on Turkish f16 in 1980s operating Sparrows ?

F-16s were delivered with Sparrow capability but it doesn't say if they were actually in use during the 80s.

Those pics are not from the 80s.
First one shows a Block 40 with LANTIRN pods, not available in the 80s.
And of course its a Peace Vector III jet, delivered 1991-1995.
Second pic is a Peace Vector VI jet, 2001-2002.

As far as I know, Turkish F-16's never used AIM-7. They were used by F-4E's, but the capability was removed (again, AFAIK) in the F-4E 2020 upgrade programme.

                  Egypt: F-4E with AIM-7 from summer 1979 and F-16C with AIM-7 since 1986

For good reasons you will seldom see a pic with the related AAM with the exception of public displays. Just a limited number at hand and a limited life-time when flown really.

Again, the article only says when AIM-7 capable F-16s where delivered, not if AIM-7 was actually delivered and used by the Egyptians.

SPIRI has 282 AIM-7M delivered for F-16C 1991-92, so possibly with first Block 40s?

The Egyptians got AIM-7E and F before the AIM-7M later on. The Egyptian F-16 C/D Block32 were delivered. In October of 1986, the first F-16C arrived in Egypt under Peace Vector II. The 242nd Regiment at Beni Suef began operating F-16C/D's in October 1986 as an intended replacemant for the F-4E and its AIM-7E and F.
So you assume, the Egyptians did not use the AIM-7E and F in stock for what reason ever?!
Egypt got 80 Super 530F for its Mirage 2000EM/BM from 1986-88.

https://www.researchgate.net/publica...defence_system Here you got an idea as well, what Sparrows were at hand in Egypt for some time.

In 1979, the Egyptian Air Force purchased 35 former USAF F-4Es along with a number of Sparrow, Sidewinder, and Maverick missiles from the U.S. for $594 million as part of the "Peace Pharaoh" program.[93] An additional seven surplus USAF aircraft were purchased in 1988.[94] Three attrition replacements had been received by the end of the 1990s.[91] John Lake gave 70 Sparrow in that first delivery.

A bit off topic but still about Egyptian air defenses. Does anyone have a single image of an Egyptian Patriot battery component? Or a news article commenting on delivery of patriot to Egypt? Or an article commenting on cancellation of alleged 1999 contract?
