Hawkkeeper answered your question back in 2013
we padlock our a/c when on detachments to prevent unwanted & unauthorised access. otherwise all Hawks are hangared at night as far as possible.

Taking numerous photos at various airshows, I have noticed that the RAF operated BAE Systems Hawks invariably have a padlock on the door-like canopy handle when closed up and unattended
So much so that I now make a point of taking a close-up photo of the said lock - which differs from airframe to airframe - so it looks like it's a local mod.
Some are simple key-operated padlocks, others have tumbler code wheels - while the more sophisticated have a metal bar that goes over the door handle.
Are RAF Hawks prone to being stolen ?? - or the cockpit contents pilfered?? - I've not seen this on other RAF jets...
Here's what I mean.......
Even this Red Arrows Hawk at RAF Kemble had one fitted....
