i have to disagree , you know that rubezh means ""limit"" or ""borderline"" in russian , right?
you know it has no topols first stage , and first stage is always largest and heaviest by far...
      my data come from this
      - 6 axis truck testing https://militaryrussia.livejournal.com/408485.html

      - comparison pioneer and rubezh http://militaryrussia.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?p=102802

      - 4 axis truck tests old topic , http://militaryrussia.ru/forum/viewt...736&start=1060

      - rubezh a successor to pioneer https://judgesuhov.livejournal.com/44616.html

How True is this ? Pilotless version of Su-57

        https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-n...ntroduce-ucavs
Russia is expected to employ a UCAV in action following the recent announcement by the defense minister that their deliveries “are forthcoming” and the fact that Syria provides a useful testing ground for modern weapons. Deputy minister for weapons procurement General Yuri Borisov said that four UCAV systems that were “able to solve tasks in tactical, operative, and strategic depth” continue in development, after the ministry had closed down “several other projects.” Apparently, these include the RAC MiG Scat unveiled in 2009 and a pilotless version of the Yakovlev Yak-130 armed jet trainer from Irkut. One of the surviving four programs is believed to be a pilotless version of the Sukhoi Su-57 fifth-generation fighter. The respective contract was awarded in 2011, calling for flight tests to commence in 2018.

Must be the 40N6M for the S-500 with near space interception , The 40N6 is already advertised for export with range quoted at 380 km and altitude 30 km

I typically dont trust izvesta unless its an interview or direct quote but its interesting they mention 40N6 is a two stage missile , this should be a different approach from any S-300/400 family of interceptor ......the active radar part is not the first though ....again assume what they say is true or just the usual unreliable sources

Refuelling rod? Paint me VERY SKEPTICAL about this.

It would mean to have it rebranded as a strategic bomber and be counted in START total.

That was likely an April fool's joke on BMPD, that somehow caught traction through other sources

that I agree. even Nudal has 6 tests. this 40N6 would have 600 tests by now. its likely the 600km range version.

New START is very generous when it comes to bombers where each bomber is counted as 1 Nuclear weapon even when max 16 can be carried and they can isolate the roles with dedicated conventional one not counted under New START versus Nuclear ones counted under it.

The Hunter thing looks more like dedicated bomber and not a fighter.

From same link it says this " Apparently, these include the RAC MiG Scat unveiled in 2009 and a pilotless version of the Yakovlev Yak-130 armed jet trainer from Irkut"

I would say awesomely self contradictory.

It doesn't mean that you cannot use some of its component for engine and landing gear for an UCAV, just that the requisites are completely different.
Ucav need max autonomy, good payload and have to be stealth while in a trainer all those are redundant.
