Obviously. They only go to mediocre airshows like Farnborough and Paris as they are too scared of Tejas.

They were never going to LIMA. Only a Navy helicopter was confirmed.

Malaysian president is in Pakistan and will be the guest of honour at 23rd March military parade.

By a good mile should my reply be more realistic, than your rubbish about Egypt cannot afford anything.
They got some kind of finance deal(aid or what not) with other Arab oil countries regarding Rafales and Ka-52K. Rafales is probably a bit more costly in what they would pay for Su-35S.
And its not that Egypt has not bought Russian equipment before.. is it?

    Good enough for you.

haavarla - I think the Su-35 is probably the better fit for them. They already have a very good fighter in the Rafale. The Mig-35 wouldn't get them much. The Su-35, with its hefty range, does though.
One deal for ~ 1% of GDP would be "MASSIVE"....

Surely, Egypt doesn't have that kind of money.

Are the Saudi's funding all of these new weapons??? Surely, Egypt doesn't have that kind of money. Nor, can it use US Aid for them either!

It is quite possible, Sukhoi has done it again, remember Algerie and the Mig-29SMT saga..

Anyway, i do not think Egypt could go wrong with Su-35's instead of the Medium/heavy Mig-35.
