By a good mile should my reply be more realistic, than your rubbish about Egypt cannot afford anything.
They got some kind of finance deal(aid or what not) with other Arab oil countries regarding Rafales and Ka-52K. Rafales is probably a bit more costly in what they would pay for Su-35S.
And its not that Egypt has not bought Russian equipment before.. is it?

PAC JF-17 not to participate in LIMA-2019

Second air show where JF-17 participation was pulled out after Tejas presence was confirmed. Previous one was the Bahrain Air Show in 2017, which was the first airshow that the Tejas participated in.

hmm what would be the reason for the JF-17 to withdraw because of the TEjas?

Obviously. They only go to mediocre airshows like Farnborough and Paris as they are too scared of Tejas.

They were never going to LIMA. Only a Navy helicopter was confirmed.

State Department approves possible F-16 sales, upgrades for Morroco

In a $3.8 billion purchase, Morocco requests 25 F-16C/D Block 72 aircraft and related equipment, including engines, weapons and navigation systems and spares. The Block 72 aircraft will then be upgraded to the F-16V configuration.

In the other contract, worth $985.2 million, the government seeks to upgrade its existing 23 F‑16 fleet to the F‑16V configuration, known as the Viper and launched in 2012.

During this low-level transition, the left General Electric F-404-400 EPE afterburning turbofan engine ingested a foreign object.

It's amazing how easily something proving the excellence of a design can be turned down to a suspicious defect...

Neither an excellence of design nor suspicious defect.

Well ingesting a bird (probably) and remaining aloft in a twin jet while on afterburner at 50feet above the ground is something remarkable. Sorry to say so.

NATO will lose its next air war to Putin's 'formidable beasts' if it waits for the F-35 to save it

[quote]"If we think we're going to wait for the next generation to sort the problems out, I can categorically tell you we will fail when next major conflict occurs." Simon Rochelle, the Royal Air Force's air vice-marshal, told the Royal United Service Institute's Combat Air Survivability conference on Wednesday.

"In 2030, 80% of the European NATO forces should one of those situations occur, God forbid will be gen 4 fighters. You can't walk away from that," he continued, referring to pre-stealth jets as belonging to a fourth generation of fighters.

While Rochelle sounded confident in the F-35's ability to meet current and future threats, he stressed that NATO wouldn't hit critical mass in its fifth-generation fleets in time for the next big conflict.

                                    [...]

"The threats, in terms of how it is progressing, [are] significant," Rochelle said of Russian systems such as the S-400, which has begun to proliferate across the globe with China, Syria, and even the NATO member Turkey looking to buy.

"Those systems are so complex and so capable that a price point for those systems of defense is far cheaper than the long running programs we have in the aircraft to development," Rochelle said. "We can't afford not to respond at pace, because our adversaries are responding at pace."
