We are very positive that we can provide the best solution for New Zealand for the mission requirements that they have presented to us (and) I think they are very interested in the KC-390. But we understand and respect that this is a competition and we will fulfill all the required steps of the process, Embraer Defense & Security President and CEO Jackson Schneider said
                      Wew.

Another senior Embraer executive also revealed that the manufacturer is considering the development of a maritime patrol version of its new E190-E2 commercial airliner at the invitation of the New Zealand government to meet a forthcoming RFI for a Future Air Surveillance Capability.

Kuwait, Qatar Deals Move Forward, Likely Putting Boeing Fighter Jet Production Into the 2020s

The State Department approved two potential high-profile fighter jet sales of up to 40 F/A-18E/F Super Hornets to Kuwait and 72 F-15QA planes to Qatar.

Kuwait, for sure. Apparently they will have plumbing for CFTs on their F-18. Qatar? Two years old demand. Nothing ordered...

Whatever happend with the F-15SA deal? It seems it have been cancelled due to delays and high cost. Now they are negotiating for a new deal.
                            Thanks

Huh? 72 F-15QAs + 24 Rafales? Sounds like BS to me.. Or Qatar is obviously eyeing to become a local superpower..
Seems way overkill to me, especially compared to the current fleet (9 Mirage 2000-5s and 6 Alpha Jets)

The request for 72 F-15 is two years old... USA took their time to answer. Too late? Btw, more expensive package than Raale in India package (i admit there is no real comparison possible)

                                  FMS package:

I wouldn't say that the Rafale package is less expensive as FMS proposal estimates are often high. The FMS proposal does not stipulate total value of the weapons package, extent of support, or costs of fighter lead-in training. The latest F-15E variants approach 100 million, so I doubt there is much difference in the acquisition costs associated with the aircraft themselves.

It was very late but that was for political reasons. With respect to the cost, FMS announcements generally disclose the anticipated cost with all options factored in. Actual contracts are negotiated along with other agreements between the customer and the supplier.
