That's it!!! Wish we could see the nose and the tops and bottoms of the wings! By the way, the white script on the top of the vertical stabilizer says "ARMENIA" in Armenian.

        SOMALILAND ????

from a former KP'thread (2006) : [[who knows, there were some reports here and there on the internet that Somaliland operated a few AB-205s. ]]

        &, from another one (2011) :
Originally Posted by gkozak View Post

Apparently there are also aerial photos that confirm the MiG-17s and the Aviocar. Serviceability is unknown, but I imagine that they have at least a few airworthy aircraft. It has so far proved a challenge to find images, to say the least.

Sorry, JV, I can't see your CJ-6 pic...

This 'FX11' was presented during the 1963 Air show at Le Bourget.
It broke the speed record between Brussels and Paris setting it to 9 min 55 seconds on June 6, 1963
averaging a speed of 1.575 Km/h for the distance of 260,6 km.
At the controls was Bernard Neefs, SABCA chief testpilot.

                        friendly yours,

Not really, other pictures show only the aircrafts and the "elephant" roundels are not visible.
Three other images of interest (the last two show Ki.27 with the "running elephant" only on the wings and Thai flag on rudder).

FX-11 was lost in mid-air collision with FX-52 in 1981 over Dinant, killing its pilot.

Even if we are in Le Bourget, second flag is more the one of Italy than France. In fact, this SABCA F-104 is decorated with flags of the four nations that originally ordered the F-104G, namely Netherlands (Dutch), Italy, Germany and Belgium.
