Now something very, very special: Su-22UM-3K of the Air Force of Afghan General Ahmad Shah Massoud. This is the first appearance of a flyable jet of the Massoud's fleet.

very nice find Starsign. It's wearing the roundel version used from 1992 - 2002. 1st time I see that on video.

The show goes on! This time it is General Massoud's Mi-24s in the Panjshir Valley.

That Massoud's An-32 is new to me. Thanks for that! What is the source of that photo?

Btw, have you seen Taliban Mi-24 in flight? It s a pity there s no marking visible. http://www.pond5.com/stock-footage/1...ghanistan.html

#353 in early colors (applied roughly in the 2002-2009 timeframe). Today the bird is dull grey.

Thanks for the Mi-26. I have photo of another one in white with the same light blue disk marking. That air force has seen a load of markings and variations thereof in the course of its history. Maybe even more than the Chinese warlords!

Is it the one that crashed in Bamiyan in 1990s?

Very short but still interesting shot of General Dostum's Mi-24.

I think it was a typo. We were talking about an An-26.
