Does anybody know the number on this Liberian Mi-2? The prefix is "LAF-", but I can't make out the number suffix.

Looks like LAF-005 to me - this serial was reportedly stored in October 2003

Here's another view of LAF-005, sporting the extremely rare roundel! This one just screams, "Make a model of me, please!"

Very interesting image of two Tajik L-29s in national colors, with rather Ukrainian-looking tail markings. From the Air Combat Information Group (ACIG) forum.

That tail marking has been kind of a "standard" for some RuAF and ex-RuAF (now civil) L-29s. No connection to Ukraine. An example here: https://i.pinimg.com/736x/36/6d/df/3...c-trainers.jpg. Tajiks just added their national colours on the fuselage and wings.

This L29 tail insignia comes from the flag of the USSR Air Force (see below). Such flag was officially used from 1967 until 2004, when new flag of Air Force of Russian Federation was adopted.

As part of an arms transfer, Russia has sent several Mi-24Vs to Tajikistan:

And a Cuban blast from the past:

MiG-21Bis sporting the classic Soviet "Tropical" or "Export" camo pattern..
