    Interesting little chart.
Confirms that that Vietnam is joining the list of Yak-130 and Pantsir-S1 exports.
Further I did not know Vietnam bought Buk and S-300PMU2.

Pretty comprehensive stuff all in all.
Very comprehensive. With the Su-35 , chinese trade ministry confirms deal on public news service. Lets see, but now the other side is confirming the deal, which is important from the chinese denial side perspective

Well now the deniers are sticking to the Russian gov refusing to confirm that any deal took place yet. When before, even the insinuation that a deal was under talk, was met with "BS RUSSIAN SOURCES INSULTING CHINA OGM!!1!!".

The hypocrisy is quite frankly baffling.

The whole deal isn't worth anyone freaking out, but suffice it to say, I will be extremely pleased to see the reaction of certain posters. I just hope these guys are paid for the effort

And yet another Mitten deal on the fly!

24 units, not bad at all for a trainer.
          Thanks

Pods are back ! It/they were bugging me for years, any more pics ? On the right one these seems to be a MAWS or EO sensor like on the nose, while the other one, is it a designation pod? Do tell!

Not sure myself what it is. Could be MAWS on right indeed.

A tad on the large side to be a MAWS, me thinks it could be NAVFLIR.

                  Stunning pics, mack8, thanks.

Hmmm ... interesting, since Bangladesh is also rumoured to be the launch-customer for the Chinese L-15 !

About that right pod, what do we know about russian towed decoy systems? It might be one of those combined pods, with MAWS, towed decoy, possibly even ECM gear in them (not sure about that though). We need more pics dammit!

I wonder how concerned the security services are by the hi-rise developments going on around Zhukovsky ???

At one time you would be shot for being within ten miles of the place

Now, it seems, you can rent an apartment overlooking the once-secret base......

IL-76/476 is definitely the most handsome of the transport aircrafts with the best nose of any transports. The sharp nose and chin looks awesome. Ilyushin should have given this kind of nose (without that chin ofcourse) to the Il-96.

What do they have in the nose and chin some weather/ground looking radar , it seems to have some kind of radome.

Ilyushin should have given this kind of nose (without that chin ofcourse) to the Il-96.
Different aircraft different aerodynamics but Ilyushin has derived a passenger variant from IL-96-400 the first of which is being sold for Cuba ,considering they are buying 8 IL-96 for Rossia they would go for IL-96-400 for these types. Check some information below

                                    http://www.ruaviation.com/docs/3/2013/3/29/67/

Why do you consider the stretched version of Il-96? Is it the customers wish or the offer of the Russian party?

                                    - The stretched jet has better economics if we compare the fuel burn per seat-kilometer. Il-96-400 can seat more passengers 340 instead of 262, while its fuel flow rate is slightly higher as compared to Il-96-300: 8 tons and 7.5 tons respectively.
                                    Check specs on IL-96-400

Agreed a nice bird, but a beauty !???

Huuuaaaarrrgggg ... sorry, but that glass-house-style is more than antiquated and do You really think with such an historical anachroonism it would attract any additional order ??? (Not that I would call the Il-96 commercially succesfull in any way)

Thanks for the links. The thing I dont like on IL-96 as far as its looks go is its front end. The nose looks very incomplete & tiny. Just like the rat like small nose of Rafale. But that could be just my personal view, dont know if anyone else share it.
The IL-96-400 looks pretty to me , watch the 400 in action with HD

Its interesting story. Those IL-96 were parked in Uganda since Russia
sold them $744m worth of aircraft.
