Looks really stunning now. Is the cockpit to stay at Fort Veldhuis?

While I am waiting for the Hampden drawings, work on the Halifax continues with the details, which by the way take a lot of time. This morning we spent hours fitting the labels on the sloping panel. The result is very rewarding though.

The extinguisher switch box had the large label label fitted, and next are the small labels on top of the lids. Fitting the many labels will take some more hours but will make a real difference.

The starter buttons will also have labels fitted. AFAIK no other Halifax extant has them fitted, or have they?

Apart from that the cockpit will be extended two feet.

              Cees

So, only another 64' 1" plus approximately 16' underneath (if you want to include the wheels) to go!

                              Profetic words Tony,

The cockpit is growing a bit.

Also a view of the labels on the pilot's overhead panel. These details really finish of the job.
Thanks to Frank Hop for taking the pics.

                                        Thanks,

Yes I had seen it, it's been there for months. If it was to be used on this
cockpit it would have been cut in half. Apart from that the perpsex is useless. No further plans to lenghten the cockpit. This is the final configuration.

If you look at earlier pics there is a legde at the back. We kept tripping over it and it looked like a balcony. a few weeks ago we were discussing this and at the same time had the same idea, why not lenghten the fuselage just a bit further. This way you get more idea of a fuselage, it would look better, both inside and outside. No plans for nose art, it will carry 13 mission symbols in yellow with red ones marking important developments in the history of this project.

                                          Time flies so it seems.

As mentioned earlier, the cockpit has been lenghtened two feet. The pics speak for themselves.
