-Ask Millom if they would part with the fuselage they have stored at North East Aircraft Museum. Be warned - transporting a large aircraft like that is a big financial headache! I speak from experience.

Cannot say, but as the info. has come from the experts, it should be worth pursuing.

-From the responses here I gather that the Hanningfield Metals Viscount is a thorny subject. I just wondered if this was the ex Channel Airways cockpit section from the Historic Aircraft Museum at Southend which I last saw painted in BMA colours.

-I spoke to Hanningfield metals the other day regarding a seperate matter, the Viscount Cockpit is up for sale (so to speak), the proprietor stated that the sale had been promised to someone and he is just waiting for the person to get back to him.

Heard it all before ! I have lost count of the number of times it has been sold only for them to mess the buyer about. Hope someone does get it finally because the longer it stays there the more it will deteriorate

-We got one
The North Essex Transport Group are interested in acquiring the fuselage of a Vickers Viscount, the type of aircraft that operated from their locale. Does anyone know of anything that might be of interest to them? Is there a fuselage that is dumped or abandoned at some airfield - no longer needed? They are willing to consider a complete airframe and have the space to display it inside a disused hangar.Phil Rhodes
Phillip,
Guess what??
We got one!In a flyable condition on top of that. One of the last flying on the planet earth. My company named Global Airways is currently selling it.After several years of loyal services,we can't cope with its gigantic consumption, that is why we are looking for a much fuel saver turbo prop.
If The North Essex Transport Group are still interested in acquiring a Vicker Viscount fuselage, parts and much more, please advise so we can discuss.
