Hi all
My wife's grandfather was on the Campania during operation Hurricane in the Monte bello islands in 1952 and I have been wondering if any of the aircraft used in the bomb test serial numbers are known or if any are preserved in museums ? I have a photo of the Campania with what looks like 2 Dragonfly's and a sea otter on deck. He told me one Dragonfly was flown through the mushroom cloud to collect samples  so that one probably got thrown off the side on the way home but does anyone know what happened to the other or the Sea otter ?

Dragonflies on HMS Campania

Don't know about the Sea Otter, but the Dragonfly HR.3 were WG663, WG664 and WG665. As far as I know, they all made it back home.
