I am not surprised, It's the first time I've tried to down load an image. Please bear with me- normal service will resumed after I threaten my computer with a Sledge hammer.

Coming Soon - a stunning profile from Pete West and available from www.driffieldaerodrome.co.uk. This is a 16in x 12in print of a Gloster Meteor T7 WA591 that was based at Driffield during the early 1950s (with No.203 Advanced Flying School) and which is currently being restored to flying condition by The Meteor Flight. Print run is limited to 100 copies. Not sure on price. At the moment I'm still finalising the print, making sure everything is as good as it can get. What do you think?

Sorry,i meant to post something a while ago but half term and also ongoing computer problems.
Thanks for posting the picture, very very good.
If you don't mind a suggestion from me it would be to look at the lights and darks, shadows.I think adding dark will add depth and a 3d quality to the picture.
If you see the direction from where the light is coming from add some darkness on the "darkside" in the shade. The aircraft would be causing some shadow on the ground as well.
I am not very good myself so please don't take it as a criticism it's not meant to be just an opinion.I found these sites to try to explain what i mean but there will be much much better artists on here to give a better explanation than i
You have done me a favour because i enjoyed looking and learning from these sites

I hope you don't mind my comments ,just my first impressions, all the best

Thanks for comments & advice- I actually "knocked this one together" during a lunch break in 2001.

I havent got around to do any drawings since, & unless its on a model kit I can't paint on for toffee.

                    Hi guys
Been busy with the brushes over the xmas break, thought I would have a go at one you dont see much of in aviation art, still some stuff to iron out but you get the idea.

                    Have a good new year

S'pose I should show you guys what I've been working on, though not sure how historic the subject is, that being Gulf war Tornado GR1s.

I'm planning to have a bunch of flares on it so I've been messing in photoshop to work out positions etc and whether I am brave enough to try and paint them

                          Thanks for looking

As embarrassed as I am to be showing my paintings alongside Paul Couper's amazing images, here's the latest from me....

Emirates Airbus A330 taking off from Newcastle. (Emirates Tower) - not historic in the least, but this is an art gallery..... saying that, the 'art' side is dubious too....

The photo I took this painting from is here: http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/sho...98#post1390598 just for comparison. I've moved a few things around for composition. And yes, I took the photo, so no copyright issues!

That looks wonderful,it's nice to see how the painting is "constructed" and not just see the finished result.
