Anybody know of any pictures done of Tornados flying during Gulf War 1?

The black radome shows aircraft is GR1 and I believe the 1's were GW1 and GR4s were used in GW2. Thanks :-D

Here's one I did at the time, GR1s waiting to refuel on the way to the Iraqi border. Calm Before the Storm. Bit of a dodgy scan but this was in the days when we used to use transparencies, (anyone under 30 might need to ask a parent what one of those was!)

Nice to see this thread come back to life and hopefully give people a nudge to have a go for themselves.Doesn't matter on your skills just try,it is very therapeutic and a great way of spending a wet day.
Southernair99 Battle of Britain 75 years ,very appropriate at this time ,well done.
Posart ,dodgy scan or not thats another fantastic piece of work and also historic now.

Great to see some activity indeed! Here's my latest, a book cover illustration for a bookazine by Dan Sharp on Luftwaffe secret jet projects.

I'm expecting my copy any day, but I've heard nothing but great stories about it. Having seen some sneakpeeks, I know there's a ton of never-before-seen stuff in there that Dan dug up during countless hours of research and scanning archives.

Really nice paintings, gents! The Vulcan especially is nice and moody.

Here's something I've been working on earlier this year: the artwork for Osprey's upcoming Ki-61 & Ki-100 Aces by Nicholas Millman.

                                      Hi All,
                                      Ronnie,
Great stuff as always matey two things that I note from your Facebook page are the Me P1070 and 262 size difference, I always thought that it was a development of the 262 and would have been same size, second is the Ki-61 is there not an Australian company that is restoring one of them airworthiness ? keep up your good work.....

                                      Geoff.

Yes a side-by-side (or ehm... top-by-top) comparison is indeed surprising:

Two Ki-61s are under restoration currently. One belongs to Jerry Yagen, which is quite advanced already. The other is Kermit Weeks' and still has a very long way to go. Kermit's machine is actually a combination of three different airframes.
