I've just reread the thread from page one and have to say it is just as enjoyable now as it was then. There are unfortunately a few photos removed over the period of time, shame.
It is now over 2 years old and probably one of the nicest ,flamefest free threads posted on this forum long may it continue

G'day Paul. Now my eyes aren't what they used to be but a couple of of things that look 'odd' to me. The dihederal on the starboard wing looks excessive, and the starboard fin looks too far aft with respect to the port one. Otherwise, I love it, but couldn't live with it. Sorry, but you did ask.

BTW, 20 years as a metrologist has made me look out for things that mismatch or are out of position.

A bit early but as it's already been mentioned, I wish you all a safe and happy Christmas from 'Down-under'. God it's hot here :diablo:

A word of encouragement for everyone who is posting picture on this thread -
Gerald Coulson is regarded as one of the world's foremost aviation artists, and anyone would be hard pushed to critisise his work... however....

I own a print of his wonderful 'Lancaster at Rest', which is an amazingly evocative work of art. If you look closely, pencil lines are evident, especially arond the stbd wing, and the props on the stbd wing don't quite line up properly....

Even the master's of this profession are not perfect, so keep painting, keep posting them on here, and above all, don't take the critisism to heart! It all helps in the long run... . We need more ametuer pics on here - if you own a pencil, start drawing aeroplanes!

Sorry, owned a pencil many years ago, but didn't drawn planes, just fixed 'em. I was more interested in other beauties, weren't we all :diablo:

It was a rushed job sadly - I was asked to paint it about 2 weeks before the roll out of the helicopter at Doncaster. The paint was still wet when it was delivered.....
