The Warwick Castle display was in support of a concert that included Walton's Spitfire Fugue - one of the most evocative pieces of music to my mind.

Well in that case, you need to come to the Old Warden Flying Proms on Saturday August 13th where you are likely to see and hear it again!
This is a wonderful event, blessed always by perfect weather(!).
Bring along a 'proper' picnic ( you know - all the nice linen and candles, champagne etc.) and enjoy.
Anyway, if you want to know more about the Proms, come and find me at Old Warden today, Sunday for the Summer Air Display.

Sorry but we arrive back from Portugal that afternoon. I'd love to be there. Best wishes anyway. By the way, do you still have G-AJDR there? I had my first instructional flight in it back in 1947.

What a sight banking over my house just now - 8.30pm Saturday, just North of Banbury. A Spit and a Hurricane in a loose formation.
Looks like they were having a lot of fun.
I have to have one (or the other....)
