Page 9 is a load of Tempest Typhoon spares, one hopes those doing the rebuilds see them.

Fascinating. What is the provenance of the Provosts and their components that are being offered for sale?

Possibly someone has approached them for a job lot to get it back in the air as opposed to individually bidding on everything.

How many Provosts do you think one might be able to construct from all those constituent parts!

I shared this auction on Facebook and there is clearly a backstory to these airframes (I know not what) Bruce?

I’m sure it was this project / airframes that was in Flypast recently and being heralded as a return to flight for one of them?!

It would be good to get G-AWRY back in the air, but maybe the registration should be changed first!

It was damaged in a forced landing at Englefield, Berks, in 1987.

Good call could well be - but I thought that chap had three PP's?

He did. Perhaps getting rid of excess? Avion I was meaning they would not know what they may need so better and possibly cheaper to buy the lot then sort what you need and flog on the excess.

Oh, the things you could do with a decent lottery win! I am thinking along the lines of a Piston Provost advanced flying school!
