Calling Avro / Lancaster experts - Topicalisation kit Trunk

a bit of a long shot but, the Stirling Vol 3 calls up the following:
    26EA/14370 A.V.Roe & Co. 2/Z1980 Trunk

which is for tropicalisation kit and is stored in the forward fuselage.

just wondering if anyone has any information or drawings that can help us recreate this for our Stirling fuselage recreation?

Evening 12jaguar, it's late but I believe that the mannequin displayed inside the Lancaster fuselage section at Newark may be sitting on such a trunk - I'm not 100% certain but it's certainly been describe to me as being such a trunk. Photo attached.

      Thanks TO

it certainly looks like the ones I've seen in various photos, any chance of checking to see if there's any identifying marks on it? It would be great if we could also find some original drawings to allow us to properly reproduce it

      cheers

I'll have a look when I'm at NAM next and I'll also ask if they have any additional items in the archive.

            Hi Nimgen

8345320 is the Pt No of the Stirling Tropicalisation kit trunk assembly, so definitely the right one

The Avro Pt No is the trunk itself, so drawings in addition to access to the trunk itself would definitely fit the bill

            where is that one located?

            regards

            John
