Martin Baker MK3B seat parts list and drawings sought

    Hello,

I have just obtained a tatty & stripped Martin Baker MK3B seat. Would anyone know where I could obtain a parts list or engineering drawings? A lot of items/components need sourcing and several need replicating as they have got to the flakey/disintegrating stage of corrosion.

The worst parts are the seat top(parachute holder)/shoulder adjustment mechanisms. The strut housing is badly corroded on one, as is the shaft that passes through the head box connecting the two. It looks like it's been left outside and the headbox has collected water.

The front seat mounts are going as well, though I should be able to use the existing parts as patterns.

    Cheers,

    Chris

It's the one you don't see that gets you (usually)...

I thought the Meteor had a Type 2E seat and that the Type 3B is/was fitted to the Vampire T11. I do have a Spare Parts Schedule for a Type 2H if that would help.

Yes please. That would be a starting point. I have the user manual for the MK2 & 3 so hopefully I will be able to identify any commonality.
