I've played cricket a few times at Swyncombe, Oxfordshire (Old North Berkshire) a few times, and have meant to look up this chap ever since I saw it first.

82 Sqn Blenheim IV V6460 , Anti Shipping. As one of six aircraft ,took off Luqa to attack a large Axis convoy making for Tripoli. Brought down by the explosion of its own bombs on one of the ships.

Pilot Sgt EB Inman KIA,Sgt RJ Austin KIA, Oberserver Sgt KP Collins survived injured and picked up by the Italian Destroyer Cigno, his leg was amputated and he was later repatriated in April 1943.
