    Lead Acid Accumulator Type B

Can anyone shed some light on what this type of battery was used for? Would this have been fitted into an aircraft, or into a Trolley Accumulator, or indeed something else?

I think that it was used with the TR9 wireless set.

I think that would have been used on aircraft to power the 2volt valve filaments of the intercom amplifier or the TR9 HF transmitter-receiver. Trolley-Accs would be fitted with large 12 or 24 volt batteries.
