    Provost T1 WW453

    dear Forum members ,
this is a bit of a long shot .
i am now the owner of WW453 , which in time will be restored at its home in Westonzoyland to a Static display model for the museum project there .
i would like to put her back into her colours and markings that she wore whilst with 2FTS
Hullavington in the early 50s .
I was hoping to ask any advice is there any way to track down a photo of WW453 in FTS colours. Would anyone know of any photographic collections etc that might hold a photo of the old girl ?

Dear all , I know Ive harped on about Westonzoyland for what must seem like a Decade , but finally there is a massive positive drive to get things done , by the land owner and my good friend Mr Childs , and so many others .
Reenactors , MVT members , so many have been involved in the Westonzoyland AG show , now a permanent base has been built and ongoing being built , we have a hanger , and the start of a 150ft 1942 dated Nissan hut , which is the airfield cafeteria a clubhouse , with many more large Nissan huts on the way , this is a team effort , of which I play a little part , larger grass runways are being put in ,
the dream is eventually a airfield akin to the dhutyleworth collection , this is going to take time , but I applaud all those involved working tirelessly to make this dream come to fruition .
this museum and its events are where Aviation , military vehicle and Reenactors have come together to make something good , with full backing from council and Mayor .
we have facilities to restore some types , and keen them under cover , especially looking for 1950s types ,T7 meteor which served there and Vampire which often were seen in the Somerset skies in the 50s .
as for Provost WW453 , she is , was spares ship for WV499 which is being restored to fly .
so I have the task (any help would be appreciated if anyone wants to get involved)
to restore the provost WW453 to static condition , she is in pieces , but 95% complete
I hope you all find this of interest , its been a long time coming

It already is active , theres a couple of WW1 types and a pietenpol aircramper that fly from there , also a couple of Auster , piper that pop in , always one stipulation its got to be vintage types

                    Hi Sopwith
as much as aircraft do land there, you would need to arrange it with the land owner. aircraft do come and go on special days, as the site is not always manned
and the work regarding the enlarging off the runway is ongoing.
as of yet it has only been small auster /Piper cub that have visited on certain occasions,

Just another thought, Please, If anyone knows of any derelict Nissan/Romney type huts that are in danger of demolition, or derelict, we would love to have them, we have access to a huge lorry and a 40 ton Lift Hi-ab. the most crucial parts wanted are the frames, and window frames, the rest can be done using new materials, . we have lots of concrete hard standing and areas where these huts originally stood that we would like to re erect , by saving ones that are lying derelict around the UK,
they would be used for not just aircraft but also aircraft related things such as museum, cafeteria , Reenactors are keen to display in and around buildings etc , from all genre of WW1 -WW2 and early post war. like i said there are a Aviation team, and Military team,
of people looking to make this place something special
any help would be greatly received
