Off and spotting today with a Cub and earlier 2 Tiger Moths flying in formation over Thame in Oxfordshire.
Is there a new spotted section as I couldn't see one, or did I just miss it, here's to getting out and seeing more than ever.

Original post

A bit more modern but still fairly rare these days I think, I saw a Fuji FA-200 flying over Purley a couple of days ago. G-BBRC if I recall.

Silver Harvard with yellow bands skirting the Denham ATZ just now, heading west. Most likely out of DX

I suspect I saw the same Harvard over Kidlington, silver with yellow bits. Must have turned near here as it came back a few minutes later.

Too far away to properly identify, something 1930's biplane and sounding "Mothish" came from Clacton direction heading SE to NW over Colchester in the late afternoon sunshine, really crawling into a headwind. :)

De-Havilland Beaver, silver, flew over Ware yesterday early afternoon. Checked on flight 24 to be G-EVMK. No idea of where it was from or where it landed.

From the upstairs window in Thame, Oxfordshire was 2 acrobatic planes chasing each other across a watery sky, then a Hawk flew over probably doing the RAF Halton passing out parade.

Spitfire T9 G-BMSB has been out and about from Biggin today. Up on the local common near Kenley first thing this morning - vis is spectacularly good!

Is there a way to find out when/if any of the Spits/Hurri at Biggin will be up, before they've actually been up and landed?

I only live 15 minutes away and it's so frustrating to hear so often that i've missed them flying.

Spend an hour or two up there on a nice summer's day and I'd say you are bound to see at least one... they seem to be active daily as long as the weather permits.

The former Tiger Club Jodel D.140 G-ATKX has just been orbiting my house - nice to see the old warhorse, looks like it still lives at Redhill with its current owners.

That's cool.

Not sure if you get it your side of the pond but the BBC Sky at Night program spent a night aboard Sofia and broadcast their experiences back in December. Unfortunately it's not currently available on our iPlayer from the BBC which is a shame.
