    Monday 1st April:

Westland Scout G-SCTA was up for an air test, and then a second flight soon after with the new owner.

And a couple more of the Dakota in the evening light:

Fairly busy day at the airfield today - the Aero Legends Dakota was ground running when I arrived, and was due up on an air-to-air shoot I believe. Mag failure caused a cancellation and return to parking, although it and the Harvard did get airborne late afternoon.

Another Westland Scout, G-CIMX / XW283, was up out of the Weald Aviation hangar on a delivery flight around lunchtime.

The RNHF/Navy Wings Sea Fury was also out of the hangar for two afternoon ground runs.

And the Gnats also had their first flights of the year - both G-RORI and G-MOUR were airborne in the afternoon on solo flights. More pencilled in for the weekend I believe.

The Gnats flew again on Saturday once the cloud base lifted in the afternoon. G-MOUR was out first for a local flight and some missed approaches.

This was followed later by G-RORI doing the same.

The C-47 'Drag-Em-Oot' was parked up on the grass.

Both Gnats were out again on Friday for more continuation training.

The were two Scouts on the Hangar 6 Apron, and the Army Historic Flight's Scout also came in for maintenance.

The Aero Legends Spitfires NH341 and PV202 gave us a flyby on their way from Duxford to Headcorn at around 1830.

Good day at the airfield today - Gnats were busy with currency flights, the Aces High Dakota was out in the sunshine for engine runs and a short trundle around the grass outside the Wings Cafe, and the Sea Fury was also out of the hangar again for a short while for another ground run.

Not sure but I think they may have moved to Old Warden.

From the Kennet website: Kennet Aviation recently took up residence at Old Warden airfield in Bedfordshire, the home of the Shuttleworth Collection. We have 2000m2 of hangar space, with some to spare for like-minded individuals with warbirds and other historic aircraft. Not only that, but as a CAA Approved A8-23 and A8-25 organisation, we can also maintain your aircraft.

Will the Dak be repainted as L4 or is another scheme planned for her?

Just a couple of aircraft to point the lens at today - the Aces High Dakota departed back to Dunsfold, and the Red Pelicans JP3 was up for a couple of flights this afternoon.

Thank you. I quite like that shot with the tower in the background - there are fewer and fewer places on the airfield to avoid clutter these days, as you can see from the construction site in the background of another of the JP shots. It's all good news for the airfield, obviously, but from a selfish point of view it is limiting for photography.

Not sure about anyone else but I rather like L4's current appearance... hopefully its not repainted before Shuttleworth
