    Lovely shots Duxman.
Excellence is not a skill. It is an attitude.

        Duxford Friday 2nd August:

A skyfull today, just too much to take in. Classics everywhere and sunshine as well.
        Here's just a small selection.

And that, believe it or not, makes 10,000 of my Duxford pictures on 'Duxford Diary' !!

              Duxford Friday 9th August:

Work has started on replacing the No.2 engine on the Norwegian Dakota.
The faulty R-1830 was removed yesterday, and the aircraft is now sheltering by Hangar 3 due to strong forecast winds:

Huge thanks to the crew of Sally B for overflying Bassingbourn yesterday afternoon. Whilst carrying out some maintenance there I was lucky enough to experience her circle us from the control tower (although my phone photo doesnt do the occasion justice).

Weather permitting, it will be another busy weekend for the Duxford fleet.

I've just got back from Duxford, having spent a very pleasant afternoon. I can recommend a weekend visit, excellent.

Has the Norwegian Dakota gone yet? They were due to leave early on thursday mornings but the new engines weren't playing ball at all! I was on a photography workshop there and it tried 2 or 3 times to go and failed every time. The first time it managed to produce a spectacular amount of flame out of the exhausts after a rather dramatic popping and banging sound
