The high-end warbird market is global. Aircraft cross the ocean (don't worry usually in containers) all the time.

I'm a proponent of aircraft going to where they'll be most appreciated, if that means its country of origin, so be it. Also, if an airplane will be shown and displayed in country X as opposed to being locked up unseen by the public and rarely flown in country Y, then it should go to that country.

In other words, there is more to it than silly nationalism...

BTW: It's P-51....not P51.

My first time back on here after the recent issues.
I doubt there is anything to worry about with this sale, in my 60+ years I have seen this happen many times and they go to new owners, they stay in the same place, they go away for a while they come back.
Maybe the old owner
1, has found a new project.
2, got fed up with the costs of running a P-51
3, is chancing getting a good price ( 2m USD?)
4, other half does not like the fact of the flying.
5, none of the above.

I like seeing these moves because it can generate interest by new parties who suddenly have big money to spend.
I like Shark, I liked Old Crow,, good luck to the current and possible new owner

Just goes to show. I know what I'd rather have. Although a Centaurus Sea Fury would make the decision difficult.
