-Great opportunity and some nice shots. Shooting through perpsex is not ideal, but you seem to have managed pretty well. Shutter speed looks like about 250th ?

-Thank you for the kind words. You're correct about shutter speed, I shot at 1/250 and 1/320, the air got a bit lumpy so I didn't go any slower to try and keep the photos sharp.

-What’s going on with the Hurricane upper cowling? That ridge between forward and aft cowls isn’t right, surely?

-You’re not the first to have noticed that, Kurt. I haven’t read a definitive engineering answer about this question. Great photos, thanks for sharing.

On Battle of Britain day I flew with Aero Legends in their Devon to the memorial at Capel-le-Ferne in the company of Spitfire TD314 and Hurricane P3717. An unforgettable experience made all the more special by the significance of the date, and the fact that the owner of the Hurricane was on-board as well. I read on another forum that the formation flew over the memorial as The Last Post was played during a service of commemoration. Here are a few of the photos of the trip, ones that I will certainly treasure.
