-I believe this was done by some of the engineers at Trent Aero - I do remember Bob Young talking about it back in the day. If you can track Alan Purdey down, you might make some progress. Bob had the remains of the control column lower pulley in his toolbox - a picture of which recently surfaced on Facebook, now with somebody else.

Hello Forum.
Am trying to trace information on the recovery of Spitfire BP921 from near Great Shelford in Cambridgeshire. I believe it was recovered at some point in the last 40 years, but it doesn’t seem to have surfaced anywhere. Does anybody on here have any knowledge of the recovery?
