-Were the plans I've heard of to give her the original flat cowling and temperate intake ever to be followed through with?

-Happy birthday '434! Thanks to time difference we share a birthday, so I'm very pleased to see these posts on my own.
And may I say how nice it is to see Sarah Hanna, especially with the birthday girl. Really lovely.

-Happy birthday, and thank you to owners past and present for looking after MH434. I'm one of those 70s plane spotters for whom this aircraft has very fond memories. All the best, AC ●S!

-Happy Birthday MH434.
I am guessing I have seen MH434 performing more times than any other Spitfire this dates back to the Adrian Swire days of ownership where Neil Williams and Ray Hanna would regularly display her must of been the late 60s early 70s so thank you MH434 for all the memories
Happy Days

-Many happy returns '434.
I first encountered this Spitfire in 1964 during filming of Operation Crossbow at RAF Abingdon.
Fifty years later as a retirement gift from my employer I received a voucher for a flight alongside a Spitfire. On the day the Spitfire turned out to be MH434 and the pilot Paul Bonhomme. This was a very special experience. Those that lingered at Duxford into the afternoon were treated to a full display, perhaps more like a masterclass!
