Original Spitfire paint chips - dont worry might help other WW2 aircraft!

I have been digging on a spitfire related site and there are lots of bits of metal with original paint on it. Such bits might be of use to a restoration shop...ARCO and Roobarb? The bits have been out of the sun so are not discoloured. Just a thought

When we painted PA908 we used an old (1950's?) book of British standard colors. It had the green for the cockpit & the PR blue etc. We sprayed some aluminum off cuts & I still have them in my big toolbox 25 years later
If anybody ever tells you anything about an aeroplane which is so bloody complicated you can't understand it, take it from me: It's all balls. RJM.

Take the parts to a professional paint place and they can scan the colours to get an accurate mixture.
