Is that a P47 nose I see in the Hangar at Sywell?

Sorry, first thing I saw was the Buchon!

But yes, that's definitely a Thunderbolt.

That image taken at Sywell was posted on FB by Steven Coe. It would be good to credit the chap!

Crikey I hadn't realised how bloody big the P47 actually is! Working around those sort of forklifts in the construction industry has given me the idea of the size! Cant wait to see her in the air!

I can see a bit I fitted to it in those images. Big plane, big impression. Not as nice as SNAFU though...

Watch the film Fighter Squadron - gives you a great idea as to how big they are, and also how capable they were when flown in service.

Fighter Squadron complete with P51 flight in mock German markings https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOiiSRHXkS8
The use of the P51 gave rise to several wrongly attributed stills claiming they were captured examples.

My apologies - seems the text I intended to do so failed to materialise! So to set the record straight I did obtain the image from the FB post of Mr Coe. I will now throw myself on my dagger and retreat from public office suitably shamed by the ever vigilant Internet Police

I politely suggest it would be good to acknowledge the image was someone else’s work and so deserves due acknowledgement and what does it receive - sarcastic hyperbole. Just reinforces my point about lack of courtesy.

If the OP took that suggestion badly, then I guess we better not mention the missing hyphen! :o
