I'm trying to find out some further information on Spitfire V BL907.
In the Gifts of War book - it is mentioned that BL907 is the 'Spirit of Natal'. Is there any way to confirm this - were all the presentation aircraft photographed after production? Is there a reference of these anywhere?
I know that she served with 222 Sqn in 1942, but have not been able to establish what letter code she wore? Does anybody have any information that may help confirm this please?
She later served with 610 Sqn as DW-L then with 350 Sqn as MN-L.
In 1944 she went to 504 Sqn, but again I'm not sure what code she wore - anyone any ideas for this one also please?
