17.35 stepped out of the car after my commute from Greenock and a Spitfire flew eastwards around the back of Helensburgh. I read it as a cannon armed single seater and sounded Merlin... maybe clipped wing. Any ideas on identity anyone? Couldnt pick it up on Flight Radar. Guy

If anybody ever tells you anything about an aeroplane which is so bloody complicated you can't understand it, take it from me: It's all balls. RJM.

Spitfire G-BMSB looks like it's already been down to the South coast via Cuckmere Haven this morning and done a run in both directions between Bexhill and Shoreham. Nice ride for somebody and a brilliant alarm call for the sleepy populace! Just landing back at Biggin now.

Hopefully not U/S? weather radar showing inclement weather heading into our part of the world down here, so hopefully turned back due to weather.

Memorial Flight Lancaster heading and holding to the south, followed by the Hurricane & Spitfire to join up and hold for their display at Dunsfold.

Hopefully they will be back again after their display when they head for Carfest at Overton.

                                          Cheers
