Thanks for the confirmation Brian, I saw the 668 number was Varsity, but I don't claim to be expert on numbers and when 66 is Harvard I never quite know which set of numbers to work from!

Steve the ultimate decider is a picture - one here that shows the inside of a varsity and two similar chairs ( half way down)

And not a pilots chair as seen here

It's the one you don't see that gets you (usually)...

The Varsity seat on the left has rollers on and is from the navigators or wt seat positions the right hand seat is a passenger seat which is one of 4 that fits at the back just forward of the main entrance door. The passenger seats have hooks that lock onto a bar in the floor at the rear of the nav section.

Anybody with serious spare cash to 'invest' how about these:

                          http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FAMOUS-JAG...EAAOSw4CFYpzFa

                          http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FAMOUS-F4-...MAAOSwtfhYp0RB

However, click on their 'other items' they have a fair few Phantom panels at more reasonable prices.

Yep that's kicked the bidding off, how reasonable will be seen

That's pretty much Supermarket Sweep for a Phantom fan. The row of instrument panels in the background of one of the F4 cockpit shots is impressive too.

Both of the noses are buy it now so no bidding, much too pricey though. Some of the panels are also way too high and anyone who buys a temperature gauge for 100 needs their bumps felt

Some of the panels are too high, some of the gauges you can buy for a fraction quite readily, some of the items are very hard to find

Were these items really fitted to Spitfires

                                      http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282355218889
I've got 3 of them of which 2 are marked 110BB/879 then NAF68986-1. They look to be exactly the same. What makes me question them is that they have the makers details marked on them as 'Doolittle Radio Inc' which smacks to me as an American item. Wouldn't have thought they were fitted to Spits ??.
